Anybody out there drink onion tea? The main ingredient is onion skin. I’m curious how it is.

    is it a clear tea? i was learned to avoid onion skin in soup broth for it makes cloudiness

  5. It’s good, but I don’t drink it straight — i use it as the liquid when I make my latkes.

    It actually tastes great. Not like onions at all and quite mellow. During winter my grandmother used to make this tea with lots of honey. It is great for sore throat.
