The new Taylor Swift and Disney+ docuseries, The End of an Era, which premiered recently has contributed to a surge of sales for Domaine de Terres Blanches Sancerre wine after eagle-eyed Swifties spotted a bottle of white wine sitting on a mixing desk. The wine appeared while Taylor was working in the studio and within hours, the wine was identified online as the “Swift Effect”—often called Swiftonomics—kicked in, causing the brand to sell out across the United States.
It was the end of an era, but the start of an age.

The wine that caused the frenzy is a Sancerre from the Domaine de Terres Blanches winery in the Loire Valley, France and it typically retails for about $40, making it an “accessible luxury” for many fans.
The winery’s U.S. distributor sold out of its entire stock almost immediately after the episode aired.
During the documentary, the singer-songwriter didn’t actually mention or promote the wine. Its mere presence in her workspace was enough for fans to label it “Taylor’s Wine.”
