The D*na Festival Denia, one of the Costa Blanca’s most vibrant food events, will return on Saturday September 27 and Sunday September 28, 2025, for its eighth edition. Set along the picturesque promenade of Marineta Cassiana, the festival will once again bring together top chefs, local producers and food lovers for a weekend celebrating Mediterranean cuisine.

Curated by Michelin-starred chef Quique Dacosta, the event will stretch over 700 metres of seafront, hosting stalls from Denia restaurants, regional producers and artisans. Visitors can expect live cooking shows, workshops focused on local ingredients, talks, music and family-friendly entertainment throughout both days.

A special “Menú D*na” will also be offered in participating restaurants across the city, extending the festival beyond the seafront and into Dénia’s culinary heart.

Cooperation agreement

To support the event, Denia has signed a cooperation agreement with the Fundació Denia Ciutat Creativa de la Gastronomia de la Comunitat Valenciana. The city hall has pledged €125,000 to help finance the 2025 edition – representing 34.2 per cent of the total estimated budget of €365,000.

The agreement was signed by Denia’s mayor, Vicent Grimalt, and the foundation’s secretary general, Ricard Pérez Miñana, with Amor López, president of the local hospitality association AEHTMA, also in attendance.

A benchmark for Mediterranean food

Since its launch in 2017, the D*na Festival Denia has become a benchmark for Mediterranean food culture, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

Previous editions have featured renowned national and international chefs, alongside local talent, in a format that blends high-end cuisine with popular street food. The festival also reinforces Denia’s status as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

Three Michelin stars

Its curator, Quique Dacosta, is a key figure in contemporary Spanish cuisine. With three Michelin stars for his eponymous restaurant in Denia, Dacosta brings both global prestige and deep local knowledge to the event, helping to spotlight the region’s rich culinary heritage.
