I was gifted these pepper plants. They were labeled as chiltepin but I have a feeling they are pequin. What do the experts say?

Yeah 100% NOT chiltepin. They are almost exclusively “perfect” spheres. (Except the Hildago version, but that’s like a cylinder and does not have a “point”.
Also, why does it seem like chiltepin is posted so often this year but not in years past?
