They should have been linguini but they kinda collapsed and ate a bit like gnocchi by the time they were done. Had fun and everyone enjoyed but the whole process took like 4 hours from kneading dough to clean up.

What style do you think is easiest to learn and get a good result from?

    4 hours is decent time imo. Are you doing it by hand or with a machine? I thought making lasagna noodles was the easiest, as its literally just the sheets that come out of the machine.

    I love makingramen noodles, slightly different recipe. Fresh ones always so pricy at the store so I make a massive batch

    So….. when you say linguini. It appears that you have attempted to make tubes? Linguini can’t collapse because it’s long and flat.

    Edit: to be clear, linguini is an egg dough. If you want to make a rolled shape you use a semolina dough. They are very different things.

    Orecchiette are fun to make and don’t require special equipment.
