Coconut Shrimp Recipe ⬇️
• Take 250 g medium to large prawns, cleaned and deveined (Frozen works too, but fresh gives the best texture)
Marinate:
• ½ tbsp salt
• ½ tbsp black pepper
• 1 tbsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp red chilli powder
Mix well and rest for 25–30 minutes (you can also skip marination if you’re short on time).
Coating:
• ½ cup panko crumbs
• ½ cup desiccated coconut (coconut powder / bhura)
• 2 tbsp sesame seeds
Mix well.
Slurry:
• 2 eggs
• 1–2 tbsp cornflour
• Pinch of salt
Whisk into a smooth mixture.
Fry:
• Dip prawns into slurry
• Coat generously in coconut-panko mix
• Fry in medium-hot oil for about 4–5 minutes, turning till golden and crisp.
Serve hot with a sweet chilli dip.
Crunchy outside, juicy inside, pure snack heaven.
