We used to make something like this in those grilled cheese sandwich makers – usually is was much more thrown together with leftover spaghetti sauce and whatever lunchmeat was around but still tasty. My main quibble is cutting it into those shapes to make pretend slices.

My mom used to make pizza toast for me as a kid. It’s one of the few things I’ve never bothered to make for myself again as an adult for nostalgia. My brother loved it though. The sauce soaks into the bread and makes it all slimy and that just ruins it for me.

Not stupid. Just poverty. Toast pizza, tortilla pizza, pizza bagel… basically spaghetti sauce is hella cheap and you quickly get sick of regular spaghetti so you get creative to make sure your kids eat and get some veg of literally any kind
