Bun looking like it has jaundice

Nobody ever doubts the goodness of FG. The price gouging is the issue.

I think they’re fairly good, not amazing, but not terrible. Agreed, extremely overpriced.

They also need to season their meat while it’s cooking. Nothing fancy, just a bit of salt and pepper will do.

I wish they seasoned their patties. Always bland because they don’t add salt.

Idk where I’m at Five Guys is only a couple bucks more than a Quarter LBer meal at McDs. I know which I’d prefer.
smartrailroader69
I have heard that never went though but would like to
FaithRestored33
Agreed. Good but overpriced. And different ones don’t taste the same.
rulemuletule
Five guys is crazy overpriced so true but its consistently the only fast food spot where no matter where in the US I am everyone their is so nice and hospitable so they gotta be doing someting right .
juuuiceman
how much is it running these days? haven’t been since pre covid
TakingItPeasy
Always loved Five guys as my hangover cure. Giant burger and tons of fries, then they began raising prices again and again and again. One night our family of 4 went and it was like 80 bucks! Now we only go once a year or so. Good food, but super shitty value.

I totally agree with this statement
Flowkey_mma
Can’t say I trust anyone’s taste buds in this thread.
They dont even season their patties.. Whole burger taste like unsalted Oil and butter..
Best-Syllabub-7485
It takes 5 guys to make it.
FUBAR_The_Clown
It’s mediocre and overpriced!!!
Thayerphotos
Probably the best burger and fries, but damn last time I went it was $25.00
Candyjargang
Exactly. Good but overpriced should be their new slogan

Every time I see Five Guys posted, I think of this meme that said “why does it always look like someone pulled it out of their pocket?” and I can’t help but laugh. Not worth the price for me!
Longjumping-Can-6140
I went the other day and was shocked at the price

When I win the lottery I will order fries from 5 Guys and burger from Shake Shack. And occasionally In n Out. But always fries from 5.
TheCoon69
One of the very best, yet still overpriced
gnardog45
There will never be a five guys Post here without mentioning cost.

From what I understand, they actually pay their employees well. Not sure if it’s a great place to work, but it softens the blow a bit if the staff are adequately paid.
Crap_Sally
Yeah way too expense. It’s a burger. The burger is supposed to be a stretch meal. It’s on a bun bc a bun fills you up. Fries are cheap too. It’s like $22 to eat there now. Their shakes are fantastic though. Bums me out when they rap the burger too tight and it’s basically a hot soggy mess lol
Emondm24
I wish they would add onion rings or strips as a topping.
liftguy111
Five guys, one cup!
spkoller2
When they opened the first shops, bacon was at no additional charge

I’ve only been to a five guys once, and I was so disappointed that I will probably never go back. My biggest gripe wasn’t that I payed $12 (pre-inflation) for a burger, if it’s good, I’ll pay the money. But the bun was a crumbly mush.
It was obviously stale and they were sooo busy. How do you have stale buns on hand when there’s literally 40 to 50 people in your restaurant at one time ordering burgers? It was a total turn off and I didn’t enjoy the burger at all.
TFG4
The buns are trash, they fall apart after two bites. The meat is meh…The fries are soft and soggy. Overpriced garbage. I’d rather go to McDonalds or Wendys
xXsaberstrikeXx
I prefer The Habit.
Five Guys is ok, but yeah their prices are stupid.
GoldxBrownSugar
Been 4 times and I do not like them at all. I prefer Culver’s if I want a great burger
954kevin
I would agree with that assessment. It’s good and anyone who says different is full of shit. Like, it’s not the BEST anything, but it’s certainly good. 🙂
TeaManTom
Every time I’ve tried them, the fries were undercooked.
After the third visit with the same issue, I resolved there wouldn’t be a 4th.
The burgers were decent enough, but nothing particularly special IMO.
jxy2016
Those fries look soggy.
AdAdorable3266
so true
clitkomander
True. Had it once in 2013 and a meal was like $15. I hate to imagine how much that costs now.
