I haven’t had much luck looking in the Cantonese seafood places but this dish brings me back the most memories of my childhood.

Just ask at any Cantonese restaurant if you speak Cantonese or Chinese, it’s a simple dish that can be easily made via steamers as long as they have live seafood.

From a post from 6 months ago, check with East Harbor Seafood (palace) in Brooklyn.

Golden Wonton King on northern blvd in flushing should be able to do this. I’ve had the razor clam and crab version so they have all the bits and pieces needed to make it. Also maybe King Crab House on 40th road between prince and main street downtown flushing.

I’ve seen surf clams in the seafood sections of many markets in various NYC Chinatowns, but the only time I recall seeing them served in the city was at the Vietnamese restaurant Mam, on Forsyth St.: [https://www.flickr.com/photos/eatingintranslation/52271932488/](https://www.flickr.com/photos/eatingintranslation/52271932488/) Good luck with your quest. If you ever find surf clam noodles on the menu at an NYC restaurant, please let us know!

Oh I love this dish, we had it all the time in a handful of restaurants in Flushing growing up. As far as I know it’s not often on menus, but if you can ask for it (in Chinese), they’ll make it for you. Ping’s in Chinatown has it whenever we go.
