Looks nice and hearty for a cold Sunday!
Would’ve liked some colour on the plantain?
Other than that, good job.

The beef curry looks good. The plaintain looks very raw. Looks like it was grilled. I grill mine on a low heat to ensure it cooks all the way through without burning.
Silmarillis-
Plantain needs cooking a lot longer and lower heat, rice looks seasoned nicely.

Personally I prefer chopping plantain up into “discs” as it were and frying them. Gets a lot more colour on them and the natural sugars caramelise and they turn nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy(ish) on the inside

The curry and rice and peas look nice but the plantain doesn’t have much colour to it, I would slice the plantain kind of diagonally not too thick not too think then shallow fry them.

Very nice. What is your rice’n’peas recipe? Obviously rice and red beans, but what herbs and spices do you use? I use onion, allspice and thyme but feel it needs more.

Important thing is not what we think, but how it tasted for u!

Looks okay but also looks a little like a nice curry that’s been eaten and then thrown back up and plated.

Plantain needs a bit more oil but looking good

Plantain looks questionable but the curry and rice looks delicious.

Wait until the plantain ripens then fry them a shade or two darker. Curry looks great.

Just some folk mentioning the plantain. I appreciate the advice I really do.
Just some context I made this night before and brought it in to work for some friends at work to enjoy it too.
I didn’t want to fry the plantain at home and bring it in as I didn’t think it would reheat well.
So I used the George foreman at work and that’s the best result I could get
