Fried a couple thick slices of leftover meatloaf, added sharp Vermont cheddar, caramelized onions, and BBQ sauce.
Very good sandwich.

I’m so on board with this. Add a fried egg and it would also make a great breakfast sandwich

How was it with toasted bread?
I always make sandwiches like this on untoasted bread because I think it makes it easier to eat with a knife and fork, and it soaks up the sauce better without getting soggy.
I’d be open to giving toasted bread a chance though.

Not as pretty as the [cold meatloaf sandwich](https://www.reddit.com/r/eatsandwiches/comments/1qbdwqd/wife_is_out_with_friends_so_i_made_the_meatloaf/) I made the other day, but tasted great.

Looks great in either case, though!
