I've been using the Eureka Mignon Silenzio for a little over three years and finally took the plunge by buying the Mazzer Philos as a gift to myself for Christmas.

The workflow is so much better, and so is the dial-in process. The same applies to the cleaning, which is completely tool‑less on the Philos when it required multiple tools with the Silenzio, so I was doing it less often.

Super happy with my purchase!

Have you experienced any change in taste profile? How’s the consistency?

  2. Do you happen to be selling the silenzio?🫣

I got a Philos too this month. But I’m struggling with the dial. I had a Libra and with one or two adjustments I got great coffee. Now with the Philos sometimes I need 3 or 4 tries.

Congrats! I just received mine yesterday. I knew it was large, but it’s bigger in person! Looking to do a pour over today and dialing in some espresso after I pick up some beans.

isn’t it kind of overkill but your choice is excellent

Do you find it obnoxious having the adjustment dial on the back? Do you feel the need to move the grinder from under the cabinet when adjusting grind size? I’m interested in getting a nice 64 or 80mm grinder eventually, but I feel I would get annoyed with the rear grind adjustment on the Philos.

How does it compare in terms of taste for you?
