• 3 whole garlic bulbs
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp flour
• 1 liter vegetable broth (about 4 1/4 cups)
• 1 bay leaf
• 2-3 sprigs fresh thyme or 1/2 tsp dried
• Plant-based cream
• Salt, pepper
• A squeeze of lemon juice
