Here’s the ingredients:

5 roma tomatoes

5 serrano peppers

A handful cilantro

¼-⅓ Onion

1 Can crushed tomatoes

2-3 Canned Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce

1tsp Salt

The serranos were pretty thicc so I only used 4.

I’m one of “those people” who taste cilantro a little differently so I haven’t had it in a while, but I only used one sprig (including stem).

I’m new to Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce but it didn’t smell earthy just kinda smoky.

So anyways, the earthy flavor was all up front, quickly faded and turned into this really deep flavor I really enjoyed.

What do you think, odds pretty high for me if I make it again without the cilantro it won’t be earthy or is there something else contributing here? Loved it otherwise!

  1. Probably the canned chipotle in adobo. Try it without those.

Arnie is legit and your cilantro dislike is legit. My wife loves food, cooking, etc. Cilantro tastes like soap to her. Just go without cilantro.

Here in Texas we love our Ortega salsa.
