Flying out of Houston Hobby after 12 days for work. Wanted to treat myself before I headed home. $45 for 1/2 brisket, mac, 2 sausage link, and fountain drink.

Looks good but price point is awful. Sausage is BBQ platter filler despite its great taste.

The Mac looks kind of mid, but everything else looks good.

Is that literally half a slice of brisket? wtf is this shit for $45

Corkscrew has been consistently good and better than most, no surprise they’ve been in TXBBQ top-50 four straight years. I have family all around HOU and I always stop by and grab a bite of Texas before flying out.

Best looking brisket I’ve seen in years. How was it?

Houston, TX is my favorite place to eat any type of food. If they move the Oilers back and fix the traffic issues it will be where I live

This looks very good. I like the clean presentation, simple, yet juicy looking brisket, sausage looks great, Mac & cheese looks tasty, and the bbq sauce is neatly in cups, allowing you to choose how much you want.

This honestly looks like a great plate of BBQ to me. Consistent, clean, simple, tasty.

$45 doesn’t surprise me either. Not affordable per se, but not a robbery either.

    How was it?

Why do they give like random vegetables

  8. I’ve been going to Corkscrew for more than a decade. The fact that they’ve managed to keep their quality up even after moving into a permanent building is wild. Plus they are just super friendly people. The Michelin star was well deserved.

  9. Amazing food. Used to visit their trailer when they had it before the restaurant. They even have a Michelin star!

looks good. but $45 seems steep for that amount of food.

  11. Anyone else rather have pickled jalaps? Not a fresh fan. Just poking at the dish still looks good

Looks average tbh. Reminds me of Dickey’s based on pics.
