A Rockford dining landmark has reached a major milestone as they celebrate four decades in the community.

A Rockford Institution Reaches a Milestone

Franchesco’s Ristorante, a family-owned Italian restaurant that has shaped Rockford’s dining scene since 1986, is celebrating its 40th year of authentic Italian cuisine.

Over four decades, the restaurant has built a reputation that is rooted in consistency, quality ingredients, and a dining experience that has made it the go-to destination in Rockford for generations.

Since opening its doors, Franchesco’s has maintained its commitment to traditional recipes and warm hospitality. And the restaurant’s longevity reflects not only its menu, but also its deep connection to the local community.

Leadership and Legacy

Franchesco’s owner, Benny Salamone, who also oversees Benny’s Bar and Lounge and Frecso at the Gardens, credits the milestone to community support and a dedication to doing things the same way they were done in 1986.

We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received from this community over the past 40 years. -Benny Salamone, owner of Franchesco’s Ristorante

Salamone says every dish continues to be prepared with care, preserving the flavors that customers have come to expect over the years.

Anniversary Offer Celebrates Loyal Customers

To mark the 40th anniversary celebration, Franchesco’s is offering a limited-time “Pick 4 for $40” four-course meal. This special will include a glass of house wine, a choice of salad, a popular entree, and homemade gelato for dessert.

The promotion is positioned as a thank you to customers who helped turn Franchesco’s into a Rockford tradition.

Benny Salmone said they’re “inviting everyone to join us for a very special anniversary offer that brings together our favorite traditions and great value.”
