Had dinner at Mirra after our Bucktown engagement photo session tonight and it ended up being one of the highlights of the day. The menu pulls together Indian and Mexican influences in a way that feels creative without being gimmicky, and every dish we tried had its own standout moment.
We ordered the vegetable biryani, crispy tacos with scallops, roti quesadillas, and tacos arabe. The biryani was fragrant and comforting with great texture. The crispy scallop tacos were the surprise favorite, with a perfect balance of richness and brightness. The roti quesadillas were indulgent and fun, and the tacos arabe had deep, slow built flavor that made them feel special.
Service was warm and relaxed, and the space has a welcoming energy that made it an easy spot to unwind after a long day of photos. Mirra feels like the kind of restaurant you immediately want to return to so you can keep exploring the menu. Highly recommend.
