
Had some Iwate wagyu chuck roll and plate that needed to get used so I whipped up a nice little curry. I know saffron in the rice is very non traditional, but I wanted to mix things up a bit. I really like the visual effect of it.

I’m not going to be one of those people who are all “THAT’S NOT TRADITIONAL” but what I like about plain rice to go with Japanese curry is that it’s nice to have something that’s not going to clash with the curry sauce and acts as a vehicle for delivering the flavor into your mouth.
