These are what I am thinking of planting soon. I start indoors early February. Anyone have experience with some of these?

The ones I had great luck last year were Supersweet 100, honeycomb, Roma vf, and Ace 55.

I heard good things about black krim and Cherokee purple. In the end I got Cherokee purple. My space is limited, so if you want to suggest varieties, keep in mind I may or may not be able to include them this year.

I’ve grown a number of those, nice choices!

I’m growing the Cherokee Purple right now. I’ve got a ton of fruit on them and the plants are really taking up a lot of space. Mine are over 6ft tall right now and still growing (in Florida). You mentioned you don’t have much space but they need some kind of support so plan on that. I used cages but needed to add stakes as well. Some people build A frames for them. Good luck

I liked the Honeycomb when I grew them a couple years ago. Black cherry, and Cherokee purple, are always favorites as well. I gave up on most paste/sauce tomatoes a while back, so I can’t really comment on those. Love the selection though, and I wish you the best of luck with your starts!

Black Cherries are tasty and sweet, but in my experience, have rather thin skin so were difficult to harvest without splitting the fruit when ripe.
Cherokee Purple are also very tasty but can have issues growing indoors as seedlings. Once they get outside and established, they took off and are one of my favorite heirlooms.
    Good luck and have fun!

I recommend cutting back on the cherry tomatoes. I always do this move myself, and wind up never eating enough and too many go to compost.

Super sweet 100s are so damn good and even in years my other toms have failed me (various reasons), SS100 rarely do.

I usually grow Black Cherry and SS 100. Both are winners in my garden. NE Texas. I grow them in grow bags (15-gallon.) BC tends to get fungal disease early in the season if I don’t stay on top of it. I may try to replace it this year, even though it tastes delicious. Best of luck with your crop!

San Marzanos were extremely stubborn for me when grown in pots. Plenty of green stems and leaves, little to no blooms or tomatoes. When transplanted, they bloomed like crazy.

I grew Black Cherries for the first time last season and I was very pleased. They were delicious but you have to keep on top of them because they split. I will grow again this year.

I’ve talked about Honeycomb on this sub multiple times. Grew it for three or four years; am glad to see Burpee is still selling it. If you like your cherry tomatoes to be SWEET? I think you’ll enjoy it!

My family does, and they liked Honeycomb quite a bit the first few years….then in 2023 they said it was **too** sweet (I never thought I’d hear them say such a thing!) so I haven’t grown it since.

Black Cherry was always a regular for me — one of the best cherry types for “real tomato” taste. Haven’t grown it in a while because it doesn’t hold up to my current disease/pest pressure….but if you get good seeds for it, imho it’s top-notch (right up there with Sungold, Krim, etc.). For me it always needed real heat before people started liking it — early ones would be bland or even off-flavored, but once it got some true hot weather it’d be a favorite every year.

A little off topic but I couldn’t help but notice a few Burpee packets there! I like burpee seeds also especially for their good germination and selection. Hope they all do well for you.
