A restaurant inside Milwaukee’s Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St., is temporarily closed for maintenance.
An email from the ICC sent Aug. 25 said Café La Scala, which is operated by the Bartolotta Restaurants group, encountered water damage, and will be closed for repairs “until further notice.”
A representative from Bartolotta Restaurants told the Journal Sentinel that the damage was due to a contained leak, which was quickly addressed.
“The team is working to resolve any related issues and plans to reopen the restaurant as soon as possible,” the representative said in an email.
Café La Scala is typically open for lunch and dinner, serving soups, salads, pizza and classic Italian entrees like chicken piccata and spaghetti and meatballs. Though located at the Italian Community Center, the restaurant is open to the public.
