What I changed:

I used regular salt

Used regular sugar

Used vanilla bean paste instead of extract

Rolled the cookies into 50g balls instead of 70g

Used 100g chopped chocolate bar and then about 300g chocolate chips

Used some salted butter cause I didn’t have enough unsalted

I did not sprinkle sea salt on the rolled dough

    Did you brown the butter? We make these and I get requests all the time to remake them.

    Once you make discard cookies there’s no going back… they are just better
