So I planted three little cherry hybrid tomato seeds. And came back from a 2 day trip and they have sprouted. I have my light on them but I need advice in how far. How much time. It’s a 4.5 inch. 13 watt grow light, and how much do I water now. And what’s the next step?

Keep the light on 12+ hours. Keep the soil moist but not wet. enjoy

Let the top soil dry completely to a light brown in between waterings. Overwatering is one of the most common ways to kill seedlings.

Get to know the weight of the container this can really help you gauge how dry it is. Keep it like moist but not wet. Watch for wilting.
Where are you? Im in BC and i wont be able to put any tomatoes outside until end of may!
Congratulations! From what I’ve seen, keep the light on for 12-18 hours a day. For now, keep the top moist by spritzing with water. Take note of the color when the top soil is dry as well as the weight of the cup so you’ll know when it needs more water. The roots are not that deep so no need to deep water.
This would be my first time growing tomatoes and peppers. I know it’s too early in my zone, but I can’t wait to get started.
Congratulations Crawler!! ( oops, wrong page…)
What variety are they?
Put them a bit closer to the light or they might get ‘leggy’.
