It’s still doenjang, but I agree this is the best one they sell that’s mass produced.

Everyone saying this is doenjang is being a little misleading. It *has* doenjang in it but this is “clam and anchovy doenjang jjigae sauce/paste.” It’s basically the base for a seafood-based doenjang jjigae. It’s going to be tasty but may not work in all the applications of plain doenjang because of all the added seasonings.

That stuff rules. Its basically a jjigae base with clam anchovy stock. I keep it for lazy nughts just add tofu zucchini onion abd watr. Way better than plain paste for quuck soups

Also, obvi a huge Korean food fan just have been nervous about buying anchovy products. Love spicy and non-spicy stuff too. Would appreciate any anchovy Korean product recommendations for an anchovy newbie!!! 🙂
