After extensive research, I have formulated my list of the best places to get New Jersey’s favorite foods.

New Jersey’s 5 Basic Food Groups

I think New Jersey has different food groups than any other state, so I used that to break down the list.

I came up with the 5 basic New Jersey food groups, and here’s my list. They are meatballs, bagels, pizza, subs, and coffee.

There are plenty of other food groups we dabble with, but for me, these are the go-to food groups, and here are the places you need to go to get the best in each category.

The Best Places To Get New Jersey’s Best Food

Meatballs – I will always believe Graziano’s Italian Restaurant in Point Pleasant Boro has the best Italian food in the state, and their meatballs are top-notch as well.

Bagels – Sheepshead Baygels in Holmdel. The name alone is an award-winner, and loyal customers swear by their amazing bagels.

Subs – There is a legendary sub shop in Atlantic City that can not be ignored. You have to try White House Subs.

The Best Pizza And Coffee In New Jersey

Pizza – If you only had one pizza to eat for the rest of your time in New Jersey, I’d make it Pete & Elda’s/Carmen’s in Neptune City.

Coffee – No, coffee is not a food, but it’s one of the most important things a New Jersey resident puts into their body. Have you tried Tim Horton’s? You should, it’s amazing.

Remember, wherever you get them, be sure to have something from each of New Jersey’s food groups every day.
