I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who gave feedback on my cookies, both positive and constructive. 🍪 One thing I’ve learned from asking the internet about pricing is that you will get every opinion imaginable. Some people told me I was undercharging, others told me I was overcharging, and it made me realize that at the end of the day, we as bakers know our product, our time, our ingredients, and our worth.
Pricing can feel scary, but if there’s one thing I want other bakers to take away from this, it’s that not everyone is your customer, and that’s okay. Someone saying you’re “too expensive” doesn’t mean you’re overpriced , it just means they’re not your audience. Don’t let that discourage you. 💕 Keep doing what you do, keep improving your craft, and your people will find you.
For anyone curious, I ended up making my cookies a little bigger (they’re now true 4½-inch cookies!) and I shifted my menu toward more premium flavors instead of just tossing in every candy or cookie. And yes, I’m still selling them at $6 each. 🥳
And while this isn’t meant to brag at all, I just want to give hope to anyone doubting their pricing. After updating my flavors, I saw an uptick in sales and ended up getting repeat orders from the shop I sell at. This week I baked 95 cookies because that’s how many orders came in. 🩷
If your product is good and you stand behind it, people will pay for it. Keep experimenting, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to value your work.

Congratulations
Way to go! They look amazing! You should be very proud!
Hey. I need a list of cookie flavors and corresponding images to truly work up some saliva over this. Plz n TY
This is really nitpicky but since you’re making your cookies with more premium ingredients, you should take extra time with the packaging. It would look nice if the stickers were all facing the same way. It’s the little details that go a long way.
It does ultimately sound like you took some of the advice provided (premium flavors and larger) so I’m glad to hear it all worked out well!
Good for you! I’m curious what you did to make your cookies more premium? Or was part of that packaging?
Premium flavors being added to the line up is great! The new pistachio one looks so fancy too, definitely a great addition.
Size looks good too 👍 glad you got helpful advice! This sub is so nice
Sweet! My SO doesn’t like 99% of cookies but we got some artisan strawberry cookies at a pop up market, they were expensive but only the second cookie in his life he has ever enjoyed and ate all 4 of them on the way home at that. We’d definitely pay a premium for more.
Congrats!
Just a note, the sticker color is a little close to that big C company. I’m not sure I’d be comfortable selling these with this branding at a market or otherwise out in the world. I think I recall you saying you’d be going to malls eventually? Where sometimes that company is located…
You know big companies can be litigious, and I wouldn’t want to tempt fate. If it were me. Just a thought.
Where are you located? Blueberry pie sounds excellent, I’d like to buy one. Congrats and also well done on taking constructive criticism. It’s not always easy on the ego. You sound confident and proud of your product! Excellent work.
Oh wow, these really look bigger than I’d originally thought! Did I spy you say one’s blueberry pie flavour?? I’d pay $6 for one of these.
Not a single person said you were undercharging lol
Edit: for those saying yes they did — how far down did you have to scroll? I read hundreds of comments and 99% were saying there were overpriced. 0% said they were underpriced
Do you plan on making traditional chocolate chip for people who may not want the extra stuff? Don’t sleep on making cookies without the extra additives, candy. Sugar cookie, peanut butter, macadamia etc.Â
I am so curious about what the costs are for 95 cookies and how long it takes to make them?
You do you bb. Good for you, seriously. I had several people scoff when I was selling 30 dollar dozens of Red Belvert Cream cheese cookies at my grocery job, but I got 40 orders in two weeks on release. I still have people hit me up for baked goods, and I have not been selling for over three years now.
Still think it’s absolutely insane that anyone would pay this much for a single cookie, but good luck!
It sounds like people said you were overcharging for what you were, so you increased cookie size and leveled up your flavors? Doesn’t that kinda imply they were right, lol?
The economy can’t crash fast enough Â
Congrats and I wish you the best. Those look like tasty cookies. I’m not sure where you are located, but where I’m at $6 / cookie is not something I would think twice about assuming I believed it were quality. That said, if I saw Hersheys on a cookie, I would not buy anything. Hersheys is not good chocolate and I would assume all cookies were of equal quality. That said, others might not bat an eye. My guess is that it highly depends on location.
>Some people told me I was undercharging
I’m genuinely curious who told you this?? I did not see even a single comment on that post that said you were undercharging. Pretty much everybody was in agreement that they wouldn’t pay $6 for a single cookie.
Americans are absolutely washed if there’s a market for $6USD cookies lmao
I don’t know… I feel like prices should be calculated, not something out of nowhere.
Time to prepare, ingredients, packaging… That’s it. If it doesn’t turn a profit, it’s not worth doing.Â
They look great and delicious. Also as a note on pricing I think its worth remembering on the internet you have EVERYONE from all walks of life, even being on one end of a state versus the other in America $6 could feel like more or less
I still wouldn’t pay 6 dollars for a single cookie, but youre in California so im sure people there have the disposable income.
Never would I. I can get a whole ass pizza for that.
you were never asking for advice just trying to get hype for your overpriced trash. nobody will buy these so stop spamming reddit with your bake sale shit. 🙂 thanks.
