The ring looks like something the seller put there one day and forgot to grab when selling the grill. I have had two of these models and have never seen that ring on either.

This is my favorite grill. I have my propane one away cus this one works so well. Always use the best charcoal you can find!

Great deal. Have had mine (exact same) since 2010 and it’s still going strong. First kettle I ever cooked a brisket on, and the rest is history.

Does it fit inside the grill? My first thought was something so that you can use a wok on the grill. Flip it upside down so the smaller opening is on top and it’ll let you set a wok inside the hole

You win! I have an older one with the fiberglass table, and the metal tabletop *alone* is $160 from Weber. I’ve seriously considered just trolling FB marketplace for a deal like this, just for the table.
