The expansion is led by Recipe Restaurants Group, which acquired Olive Garden’s Western Canada locations in 2025.

After having closed its 11 Ontario locations in the 1990s-2000s, American restaurant chain Olive Garden is making its return.
GTA residents can now stuff their face at the Italian-inspired eatery with breadsticks and generous portions at their upcoming Vaughan Mills location.
Recipe Restaurants Group, which owns Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, and Montana’s, purchased Darden’s Restaurants’ eight existing Olive Garden locations in Western Canada in July 2025 and is expanding in Ontario.
Olive Garden menu items feature family-style meals, appetizers, entrees, create-your-own pastas, desserts, and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks such as gallon iced teas and raspberry lemonade, two-litre sodas, as well as alcoholic drinks, and more.
