That is quite spectacular!! I love the reflection in the mirror:)

  2. I am impressed with the moisture/thickness balance here. Looks like chocolate heaven

Looks phenomenal, but how does it taste?

  4. GreenAuror

  5. peachykeenjack

omfg. it’s so beautiful!!! looks amazing!!!

  6. teankleenex

It’s insane looking, is that an actual time? 150 hours?? I mean, I’d wait for that!

  7. lifeuncommon

Are the dark layers fudge or brownie? They don’t look to have crumb like a cake.

Is it as rich and decadent as it looks?

That looks straight up sinful. Excellent job. 👌

I really want to recreate that discontinued Trader Joe’s cake

As a chocoholic when people say desserts are “too rich” that’s just not an experience I share, but this delicious looking cake would probably get me to say that phrase. 😂

Oh that looks delectable! (Thats another word for delicious right?) Imma google it.

Looks picture perfect! I’m not a chocoholic by any means yet your cake creation makes me wanna be! 🙂 Beautiful work and I’m sure your tweaks and updated timetable will reduce the overly-dramatic 150-hour investment on the original recipe! 😀

In this economy!!? The price of chocolate is so high rn 😭 looks amazing

The what now? 👀 I want to make this but also don’t lol beautiful job!!

  15. To me….the cake to frosting ratio on this is way off. It “looks” good, but even a very small slice would be like eating a piece of fudge. Nothing wrong with fudge, unless what I’m really wanting is cake

genuinely salivating after seeing the first pic

This was also the first cake I ever made! It was delicious, but I’ve made much simpler chocolate cakes since then that are just as good and not as much effort.

most ridiculously decadent thing i’ve ever seen. it looks DELECTABLE

  19. fluffylilbee

those layers are so uniform! and your cake has such a satisfying sheen to it. i hope it was worth all the effort—it certainly looks like it took a lot of time, work, and love! i’m obsessed!

    I love Alvin’s videos, they’re so peaceful ☺️
I’ve used his method of infusing heavy whipping cream with coffee before (ended up with coffee butter purely by accident, but it made some incredible chocolate chip cookies!)

Looks good but why does it take 6 days?
Is it just the batter that rests for 6 days or is there multiple waits of a few days?

  22. Accomplished_Pen_544

I did this for new years a few years ago. It was a fun experience and its good, but wouldnt make it again.

  23. AgileMastodon0909

Was it worth it? Would you do it again?

  24. vogelvogelvogelvogel

perfect plate for it i have to say

  25. Appropriate-Low5682

150 hours? Try turning the heat up

  26. skyrimspecialedition

I’d kill entire villages for this cake

  27. I’d do terrible things to have a slice of this.
