LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Rucci’s Italian Kitchen & Grille announced today, Sept. 17, 2025, that it is expanding its presence in Southern Maryland with the opening of a second location on the square in historic Leonardtown.
The new restaurant will take over the former Ye Olde Towne Café spot, a familiar landmark on the square.
The family-owned restaurant, known for its Italian fare and extensive bourbon offerings, said the Leonardtown location will feature the same focus on fresh, high-quality dishes along with a bar boasting more than 100 bourbons, a curated wine selection and specialty cocktails.
“We can’t wait to welcome you to our new home, where every plate is made with passion and every guest is treated like family,” the restaurant said in its announcement.
The Leonardtown square has become a dining and cultural hub in recent years, with restaurants, shops and events drawing visitors from across St. Mary’s County. Rucci’s leaders say they are eager to be part of the community’s growth.
The new location is expected to be open in December. In the meantime, updates and announcements for the Leonardtown location will be shared on the restaurant’s new Facebook page.
