I have no recommendations to offer. All I have is a deep craving for pandoro that is not dry and sad. I can’t do these store-bought ones anymore man, I hope someone has the plug and is willing to share 👀
reignnyday
I saw it at Eataly yday, haven’t had it. The three pannetones I got from Eataly have been incredible so far. I have a lot of faith in Eataly

Are these good or taste like dry pound cake.

Panettone is way better than pandoro. Don’t waste your money

Panettone is awful and people who swear by it were just indoctrinated into the dense, bland, fruitcake cult by their NJ italian families when they were 6 years old.

Have had homemade panettone as well as those in Europe. A proper panettone is fluffy like a nice brioche (it is a yeast dough), and with the right homemade candied orange peels it’s fruity and citrus-y and delicious. Please do yourself a favor and get a good panettone. It’s a real Christmas time dessert people have in Europe and not just New Jersey…

Gustiamo stocks Biasetto Pandoro
Milano markets tre Marie is good as well
Let’s be real guys. These things are just festive and look great but they’re by far the superior dessert or pastry in terms of taste.
The secret is to make French toast with it
There is a lot of pandoro and panettone at Jacks dollar store and I don’t think it’s considered very good.
Saint Ambroeus, I buy one every year for Christmas. Not cheap, very tasty.
