  1. I love my slow cooker, but I always feel like it's more of a winter thing. I'm doing one more batch of chili at the weekend then I'm retiring it until October or November.

Thicken this one up a little and it would make for a great pie filling.

  2. I prefer slow cooker recipes that don't require any pre-cooking, only exception is ground beef. I use a can of diced tomatoes.

  3. I just realized, this is the girl who played Gemma sister on the show “THE NEIGHBORHOOD” lol 🤣🤣 ! I luv tht show & I loved tht episode!

  4. Being an Indian, I really had trouble watching you seasoning the meat with the tong.😊 I would love doing it with my hands. Nice repice though. Thanks.

  5. It's a much better idea to put your stew meat in a 1 gallon Ziploc bag , add the flour, zip it shut, and shake it around until the meat is coated . If you're using 2 lbs of meat , it's MUCH easier to flour it 1 lb at a time… juuust a thought…Bon Appetit..
    😊

  6. I use the insta pot. Even more flavor, less time. Brown beef in insta pot, deglaze with either beef stock or red wine. Add all your spices, Worcestershire, even liquid smoke, etc. Cook 30 minutes. Add potatoes and carrots for 10 more minutes. Done, delicious.

  7. I prefer the sauté the onions, carrots and celery in the pan (remove the meat), then deglaze with red wine. needs diced tomato and a green veg like limas. simmer without the lid in the end can help cook down the broth and thicken it. corn starch can change the flavor.
