    This is literally the way 5 guys makes their grilled cheese. Its just a way to make the bread “toast”

    i worked at bar and we made grilled cheese sandwiches on hamburger buns that were “inside out” like this because you could brown the outside more evenly. doing it the “normal” way, the top side would be more browned in the middle.
    i feel like that’s what they are going for here, even if it’s not really the same.
