Due to a pending divorce, I’m going to be selling the house and along with it my at-home café; my pride and joy. It’s a custom built house, so I designed this area specifically as a coffee bar to suit my workflow.

It’s never this clean, but realtor and photog were in earlier this week to snap pics in prep for listing. Like all of your stations, the area is usually covered in stray grounds, dried spilled milk, and way too many accessories. I even put away the pour over equipment (kettle and grinder) usually staged to the right of the sink. Realtor thought it would look cleaner.

Thankfully lil Miss Bianca and Specialita are coming with me to wherever I end up. But I doubt they’ll have as nice of a nook as this one. Divorce sucks.

Did you know that a ton of house supply that comes to market is actually from divorce proceedings? The more you know ✨

    Sorry to hear that.

It sucks, but life is too short to be unhappy.

Also, rather than 1800, which is a Jose Cuervo brand, try something additive free like Tapatio or G4.

Sorry for the divorce, glad at least you’re keeping your setup.

What’s attached to the machine at the right side?

The devil on my shoulder wants you to “lose” the gear in the divorce and then trade up to something even nicer to soothe your pain.

    Good luck in the journey.

I bet your wife got jealous of that steaming hot miss Bianca you were always talking about

Sorry for the divorce. I have dried milk foam in my utensil drawer somehow

I’m sorry for your divorce. I did the opposite. When I broke up with my partner I bought myself the espresso machine I always wanted. She had an expensive nespresso so I was waiting till it broke to buy mine. Didn’t have to wait anymore after the break up!

Good luck with your upcoming divorce. FWIW, this has been one of my favorite coffee bars.

    Take care of yourself,

You know why divorce is so expensive?

    Because it’s worth it.

Good luck with everything. As long as Bianca follows you, your days will be better. Been there done that.

Sorry to hear, man. Keep moving forward

My first espresso machine lasted longer than my first marriage, which was over ten years!

  13. Is divorce that bad? I sometimes think I’d like to be divorced but I don’t want to get divorced.

Sorry to read about the divorce. Depending on how long you’ve been together, it still inevitably takes time to adjust being on your own for a while. And talking from personal experience just remember you will make it through the other side 🙂

I wish you all the best!!

Sorry for her loss. May she never find a better barista.

Divorce sucks, but it gets better. Living without reciprocated love, respect and dedication never gets better. A few years down the road you won’t think much of this time.

Unless you pay alimony. That shit haunts you. 10 years on and I still write a huge check every month to a lazy piece of crap with whom I had no children but it’s preferable to living with them!
