Man I really miss that style of GenX writing that Tony used.
It got a bit much when everyone was doing it, but when you hear it done properly, like in this video, you realize why everyone tried to do it.

It’s pretty incredible how he’s really close to it and you do see how it’s similar to Bourdain and yet it feels so far from Bourdain to me. There’s something deeply comforting about Bourdain’s texts and narration that’s missing here.

They closed the Red Lobster where I live. I had a meal there with my daughter 2 weeks before it closed. It was the best meal I ever had at a Red Lobster.
