  1. I have a few versions of this basic recipe which all finish with coconut milk. Sometimes I only use half a can and then freeze the other half for later. Defrosting for new soup has resulted in broken curds…a mess. UNTIL I defrosted 1 left over milk and wazzed it up with a plunge mixer on high. The foamy froth produced a creamy froth with no curdle.

  2. Just made this and it’s delicious!! I had a soon to expire 1/2 cup of dehydrated potatoes that I threw in at the end and it gave a nice thickening to the broth. Absolutely love it, thanks for sharing.

  3. Did you really think you were going to find that fork in the bowl of broccoli? Lol. Good one. 🤣 HEY! The wisk was in the chopped onions!! Lol

  4. Your video just came across my feed young brother and I'm so glad it did. I'm currently in chemo treatment and my taste is totally off but I won't stop until I can find something that my tastebuds might agree with because one thing that gets you through this is a healthy appetite. This soup looks fantastic and I love the vegan aspect of it. I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching more of your calming and delicious looking videos. Thank you.

  5. Just had o share, I made this soup tonight and everyone loved it! I took your advice and swapped the coconut cream with cashew cream and it turned out great. We all agreed that we would add this recipe to our soup rotation for our winter cooking. Love your channel and all your vegan inspiration!!

  6. The more garlic, the better. This looks amazing and I'll make this soup for dinner for a whole week. I'm excited! Thank you!

  7. I found your channel from a short by theplantslant, and I have been looking for low carb/low saturated fat recipes to put into my souper cubes so I can control how many carbs I add with sides, and decided to try this one. Just had some for lunch with some mushroom jasmine rice and it's probably one of the most satisfying lunches I've had since I've started having to watch my diet (celiac and diabetes).

  8. HI!!! 🩵 Our stove has been out of order for a few years now, and we are cooking on a small electric "thing". I like the one you are using (holds a bigger pot)! Can you share what brand that is or where we can get one?

  9. I just made this recipe, and my mouth is still watering as I type this. I am thoroughly enjoying this soup as I go back to get my third bowl. Delicious

  10. Yum! I have chickpeas soaking right now and wasn’t sure what I was going to make with them. I’ve been air frying them recently to make crispy “crouton” like toppings for salads, but my air fryer just died womp womp. This sounds a lot like my favorite Burmese stew (usually made with chicken) except this one adds garam masala. And for the Burmese stew I always top with fried shallots and more coriander (cilantro leaves for US English speakers), and I’m sure that would go well on this one too!

  11. Really enjoy your time and tenor. Can't wait to grab the couple more ingredients I need to make this. 🙏👍🏼☮️

  12. I love the way you do you videos now. Absolutely love it! This level of detail is Soooooo APPRECIATED!!! We are all 5 years old, everytime.

  13. Thanks for teaching this old Gal to cook so joyously! 💜 My past meals, though edible, were only one dimensional. I tried this recipe, amazingly delicious.
