The list — “Yelp’s Top 100 US Restaurants 2026,” released on Wednesday — features brunch, Italian and American fare from Illinois, with all three highlighted restaurants located in Chicago.

“We’ve rounded up the latest drool-worthy, Yelper-loved places to eat — just in time for your 2026 restaurant bucket list,” Yelp said. “Across the US, chefs are plating up memorable, can’t-miss meals at fine-dining rooms, food halls, counter-order favorites, cozy cafes, and wallet-friendly gems that deliver big flavor without the big bill.”

To create the list, Yelp said it “identified businesses in the restaurant category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews.”

Ciccio Mio in River North is ranked No. 65 on the list, making it the top Illinois eatery included in Yelp’s ranking. The romantic, intimate Italian restaurant has a Yelp rating of 4.7 and offers an array of favorites such as ricotta gnocchi, giant prawn scampi and chicken Vesuvio, as well as a range of wines and cocktails.

“The food was out of this world,” one Yelper wrote. “The tartare was some of the best I have ever had. The meatballs were hands down the best I have ever had. The sauce was thick and rich and so flavorful. … The gnocchi somehow just dissolved into heavenly flavor it was light and fluffy and cheesy. The lasagna was so unique rolled up and the crispy cheese on the outside made my day.”

Next on the list is Un Amor at No. 96 in the Noble Square neighborhood. With a 4.7 Yelp rating, the Latin brunch spot serves up chilaquiles, French toast, empanadas and more, plus beautifully crafted cocktails and coffees.

The final Chicago restaurant in the ranking is Trivoli Tavern at No. 98, located in the West Loop. Rated 4.5 on Yelp, the upscale American eatery serves classics like chicken pot pie, prime rib and pork chop alongside a variety of old-school cocktails.
