A suggestion for those of you prepping for Snowmegeddon 2026- make a batch of cowboy beans- dice half and onion and six slices of bacon, add 2 lbs ground beef, four 18 oz cans of beans (I have two black and two black eyed peas) and a 20oz bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce and cook on low. It’s delicious cold once cooked so it can be eaten as a protein-rich dip if you lose power, and the ingredients are comprised of things people don’t usually panic buy so they should all be available. Could also be cooked in a Dutch oven over a fire if power is lost. Stay safe out there folks!

Looks good. I opted to make a batch of chili. Great minds….😁
…and your address please…
Navy beans and ham in my crockpot right now. Need a snack now though lol
Rinse the beans first or no? And cook the bacon and beef first or no? Sounds great!
Decided it was a Pot Roast day here. Leftovers to be enjoyed between trips to my driveway tomorrow
Shredded chicken over here.
We have pot roast over here!
I use tinned bbq baked beans and add thick Gravy
I have a pork butt destined for pulled pork.
