How does everyone feel about frilly toothpicks?

Nice composition; a highly underrated aspect of any good sammie

  4. Shadowtirs

You are an artist and a master sir, well done.

For me a club doesn’t include cheese or ham but…hard to not like cheese and ham.

Anyway this sounds and looks amazing!

Thanks for stacking it this way, this is right . I went to a restaurant one time for a club and they brought me this single level sandwich, just regular split in half. I was so offended on behalf of our community.

  7. Looks amazing and I may need to venture out into the icebox where I live to get said ingredients. Only thing missing is a pickle and real potato chips 😉😉

I works as a line cook for one summer at the beach and made a ton of these. It’s so satisfying when you perfect it and get that cut just right

  9. markyeakey

Woulda preferred a circular array and chips in the center, but kudos…

This is perfection. I truly dislike when restaurants change up the protein for fancy chicken etc. a club is a classic deli meat delight!

My aunt, who’s owned a local successful cafe, uses the same ingredients but stacks it in a very specific way for aesthetic purposes.
    It goes:
    Bread
    Thin mayo
    Ham
    Lettuce
    Thin mayo
    Bread
    Mustard (optional)
    Tomato
    Turkey
    Bacon
    Thin mayo
    Bread
    Toothpicks for stability

Looks delicious. This is what I consider a standard club, what’s the new take on this?

  13. NarcanBob

    I would become a member.
    And I am pro-frilly toothpicks.

That looks so good. I love a club sandwich and it seems like most places don’t have them anymore.

Everything about the way this is stacked and cut is perfect in my opinion.

Just one minor suggestion: put the sections at opposite corners of the plate with a pile of chips in the middle.

Clubs are my favorite sandwich and this looks perfect. I absolutely hate when restaurants say things like: this is our take on a club… There is only one club, op nailed it.

Thank You for a loaded superior sammie!!!!!

OP, I’m looking forward to hanging out w you on a daily basis. I’ll bring the beverages

  19. SenorChoncho

God damn.. I’ve been craving a good club for a while now and this looks damn near PERFECT. Well done.

When i make a club, i just make a sandwich, then construct a blt on top of it. That’s how i trained my team when i was working a corporate catering job. It really simplified the steps.

I dunno if this is even edible, to be honest with you…

Better send it my way so I can be sure!

  22. wood-fired-stove

Åh man I love this. It’s exactly what we did back in the early ’90’s in hotels and cruise ships. Nostalgia. Did you actually make this recently or do you have access to a time machine.?

  23. Plenty_Dress_408

I’d take that to the face! To the face!
