Been waiting for this for so long! I first tried Chi Cha in Singapore and was amazed by its tea quality. When I heard they are coming to Chicago, i was so so excited! I ordered Creamy Mango (Mango+Tea+Creamy Foam). Taste so good!!
But I did encountered a few problems:
1) the shop just opened and it was so crowded. When we arrived around 5pm, the store was packed with people. I could barely set my foot into the store. We had to find a dinner spot nearby while waiting for the order;
2) staffs are undertrained and it was super MESSY. The pickup system was so messed up. After dinner, we went back and found out that the digital announcement board was broken. We proceeded to asked the staff if our order was ready and she replied no, but the other staff quickly pointed out that our order was ready. We ordered a total of 3 milk tea- they only handed us 2 in the beginning and realized that they forgot to pack the other one😅
3) It’s kinda costly. Creamy Mango Tart alone costs me $8.5 before tax. I was stunned by the price. Even though Chi Cha has always been on the pricier end, ~9 bucks for a cup of milk tea is still pretty insane to me.
