Fair play: a lot more went into it than I thought there’d be. Going to assume that whilst the flavour is similar, this is considerably better quality?

Way better cheese-to-sandwich ratio than the half slice they give you at Mickey Ds

I noticed your use of American Cheese. Must be 300% more than the McD’s version. Hard to tell though because of my low credit score.

This is not the greatest Filet-O-Fish sandwich in the world.

No, this is just a tribute.

What did you use for tartar sauce? Inglehoffer seafood tartar sauce is as close as I have found.

I have never tried it, this is my sign! thanks for sharing

Perfect. If only I could get that much cheese at McDonald’s without them charging me for a whole slice of cheese just to give me the other half of the first slice 🙁

  8. Long ago I thought filetofish was great , had one the other day not so great anymore

The Filet-O-Fish is the only sandwich I will ever eat at McDonald’s and this one looks much better. As a huge cheese lover I would have gone the exact same way with the cheese and I’m sure that homemade tartar sauce was first rate.

    Well done 😀

  10. Looks great. Big fan of the extra cheese, but the linchpin of the original is the steamed bun. There’s just something about it

  11. Looks damn good. And I’ll bet it taste as good too.

Looks awesome…also, I know people hate Arby’s, but don’t sleep on their fish sandwich (whenever they have it on the menu, which is once in a while)

I keep Gortons beer battered fillets in the freezer just for this. I use one slice of cheese, store brand tartar sauce and plain buns (no steam, grill, or toasting). They are excellent.

Calling bs. The last one looked like a quarter between two fifty cent pieces. Super sad
