4 Flaky Biscuits:
1.33 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons sugar
0.67 teaspoons salt
4 Tablespoons oil
Just enough water for a not too sticky dough

Topped with homemade freeze-dried gravy + tofurkey (Recipe: https://youtu.be/zPgtkOVhC3w )

We’re not kidding about this probably being the best breakfast we’ve ever made outside. It was unbelievably good!!!

  1. I am totally and completely jealous. I am a professional Chef. I cannot make biscuits to save my life.

  2. Those biscuits look legit! I add scrambled eggs on camping trips for some added protein and moisture. ❀

  3. I made sausage gravy and biscuits, and freeze dried them both. The moisture from rehydrating the sausage gravy was enough for the biscuits….😊

  4. You can tell when things are done, whether it's an open fire, an oven, or a microwave oven, by how they SMELL. If you cannot smell them, or they don't smell done, they're not done yet.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  6. One time I made a pineapple upside down cake from scratch in my cast iron Dutch oven with legs . Put briquettes above and below the pan . Baked it . The smell permeating through the campground was heavenly . It’s been 35 years ago and I can still smell and taste it .
