I just picked this bag up from Costco for like 12 bucks and seems like a great deal as the fox farms is like 22 for a way smaller bag. I know FF is significantly better but would this be a terrible idea?

As far as usable for growing peppers , yeah it works fine. Morally, I will never buy any miracle gro product again due to their partnership with Monsanto.

Some people will tell you all MG products are worthless. Im not one of those people.

Ive bought 30 or 35 bags of that exact product over the last 5 years. Never had any issues, as long as I amend it properly.

If youre patient, Costco will put it on sale in a month or 2. My local store also has big bags of DrEarth fert and some other brand of worm castings dirt cheap. Hehe

I use miracle gro organic and have no issues with it. I also use Miracle Gro herb and vegetable fertilizer and always have great results.

Depends on how you’d like to grow the food.

I am in tech and build AI products. Last year my family bought a farm back home and I REALLY got into regenerative farming.

My job requires thinking deeply into problems and tracing back to solve it for good in scalable way.

Here is what I learned, the quality and health of soil dictates the nutrient and quality of produce.

No chemical or mass produced things can get you get.

Get original soil, test (if you want), then add a bit of BioChar, Vermi compost, Manure, kitchen scrap water. If worms show up in your soil, then it is alive.

Do that and you’ll have the best possible pepper possible with most nutritional value and thus off course taste.

Seed another is a key, if you can get the non-gmo heirloom seed, perfection!

I’m a big fan of blending Foxfarm Happy Frog with their Ocean Forest in a 50/50 mix. With Miracle grow, It’s my perspective it’s meant to be mixed into the native soil as a soil amendment. I think it’s far too “hot” to be used as a standalone, but had good results mixing it into native soils.

Only if you use the soil upside down!
