This truck drives through my neighborhood in ktown basically every night around 10pm selling stuff over a loud speaker. It sounds like he's saying "elote elote", but my spanish is crap and I don't want to run down expecting corn only to find candy and ice cream. Does anyone know what this man is slanging?

I respect the laziness in asking Reddit instead of walking outside.

Can you still buy cigarettes for a quarter? lol.

JK, I know they cost more than double that in a pack now.

  3. He’s selling snacks, which probably include elote. I got a similar guy too. He sells tostilocos (chips w/assorted toppings), esquite, elote, among other stuff. Delicious and fortunate to have a mobile snack machine coming through your hood.

I know this guy, rolls around in a golf cart selling corn and other snacks. Best corn around, give it a try.

  5. I live in Ktown. . That’s just another background noise when your windows are open here.

Need to know where in K-town I can find this king

  7. He’s absolutely saying “Eloteeeeeeee. Eloooteeeeeeeee.” He drives by once every night, it’s practically an alarm for when to get ready to take my dogs out for their last walk lol.

Better than using that super loud bullhorn and offering to pick up used stoves or old mattresses.

steak is too juicy and lobster too buttery type post. Snack trucks and carts in my neighborhood stop when the sun is down.

I want elote at 10pm sometimes

  11. They sell:

Elote (street Corn on the cob), Rapsados (shaved ice), Chicharrones (fried pork rinds), Esquites (street corn cup with cheese and mayo), and various snacks and chips with toppings.

It’s not 100% consistent every night. Always elote and Rapsados though.

They come by New Hampshire and 9th pretty much every night around 10p, but make the rounds around the rest of Ktown/Vermont area as well starting around late afternoon
