The group announced the opening of its new, ultra-luxury resort in the Eastern Cape called Mantis Hiddn in Addo.

The off-the-grid mountain lodge, situated on a viewpoint overlooking an 800-hectare private reserve, will feature 12 luxury suites and two villas.

It is also located near South Africa’s third-largest national park, the Addo Elephant National Park.

Mantis Hiddn in Addo is described as a mountain sanctuary that will redefine luxury.

What to expect during your stay:Connecting guests with nature through hikes, nature walks and gathering food from “nature’s table”, while providing a first-class experience.Each guest is assigned a dedicated and intuitive personal host to cater to their every need. The resort also curated wellness treatments and therapies for each guest’s specific needs.Each suite features a king-sized bed and an indoor fireplace. The rooms feature a spacious lounge, bedroom, and private deck with a wood-fired tub.Rooms are decorated in calming earth tones.The hot tub is made of handcrafted KolKol wood.The dining facilities are inspired by the surrounding wilderness, the season, and each guest’s personal preference. On-site restaurant and al-fresco diningMultiple special experiences, such as boma nights, chefs’ tables, sensory picnic excursions, sundowners, pop-up bush dining and bush breakfasts. Each meal is accompanied by a curated wine list celebrating the best of South African wines.

The lodge operates entirely off-grid, powered by solar energy and water-harvesting and recycling systems.

A one-night stay for one adult will cost you at least R32,700, and the lodge officially opens its doors in March 2026.

The panoramic mountain suites are currently open, and two-, three-, and four-bedroom villas will open to the public at a later date.
