Hi everyone, I am new to cookie decorating and I could use some help. In part because of my tremor, I am having a difficult time creating even lines. For example, I can’t freehand any text (even simple block text like “XOXO” on heart cookies). The cookies in this photo are my best efforts. I’d love to try more sophisticated designs/techniques but I’m at a loss on how to move forward. Are there any tricks, techniques, or equipment that might help?
Thank you!

These look really good! I deal with that too, more from arthritis but I’m just not as steady as I want to be.
These are GORGEOUS!! I cannot get the consistency right enough to even try any techniques, but im not giving up. Thanks for sharing the pic of your beautiful work.
You would never even know you have a tremor! These look so good, well done.
Those are sooo pretty and precious! And i would have never known about the tremor from these, way to go!
MOAR COFFEE!!! 😆
Seriously though- your cookies look great. I empathize with the hand tremors though. I don’t have anything medically wrong with- I’m just old as dirt (70). But I do find:
– shaky hands seem worse in the morning. And yes! I do have two coffees every morning. Less and I can’t function. More and I think it might make the shakes worse, lol
– sometimes I’m concentrating so hard on a technique (writing/script) shaking, and I don’t notice I’ve been holding my breath. I stop, do some deep yoga breathing and continue after a rest
– I will use my left hand to help steady my right if necessary when the shaking is bad
– and if none of the above works, I just wait until later in the day and tackle it in increments
