Apparently chicken and mozzarella don't have protein now. And yes, I had the person who took the order double-check all information.

It can’t be physically possible to be allergic to all protein and also be alive, right?

  2. Bullshit_Conduit

    All allergies are protein allergies.

Send that ticket back to the table and tell them directions to the nearest grocery store

If you have allergies and/or use substitutions at a restaurant, you should not be eating out at a restaurant.

I have a friend who is allergic to dairy proteins– she can eat pizzas with cheese since the baking of the pizza denatures the proteins, but not cheese on its own. But tbh this just seems like frustration for the sake of it

  5. Maybe they have that red meat allergy and are bad communicators?

  6. MindlessMage777

Maybe allergic to red meat proteins? Can be a side effect of some diseases

  7. Momentum_Maury

Why does this look like a person wrote it on their phone screen with their finger?

  8. Stutztown

Seems like alpha gal is what they are trying to communicate with chicken quesa. Probably told server red meat protein so you didn’t cook it in beef juice or something

Ok come on. Very clearly food for two different people and one of them just doesn’t want meat on their pizza. Chicken quesadilla and a cheese pizza. Is it really a big deal if they called it an allergy or not, just make them the food I’m sure they know better than you whether or not they can eat cheese and marinara or not.

look up PKU, it’s an allergy to protein. they have a special drink they have to have. i think there’s shots and pills now too

No one is going to bring up the fact that this looks like it was written by a six year old?

  12. GreenTeaMochiYum

Why is this person with PKU trying to eat cheese and chicken?

“I’m sorry, due to your dietary restrictions, we do not feel that we can meet your needs while serving you the choices you’ve requested. These are the options we can can insure are safe for your conditions. If these are not to your liking, we would like to thank you for considering our establishment and wish a good evening.”

They just want two plates, one empty and one with sauce.

  15. Serve the food as normal. Allergies are their problem lol.

I once had a lady say she had a dairy allergy. She ordered a salad which has egg in the dressing, but no dairy. After a bite or two she asked if there was any dairy in the dressing, to which I said no, its made with egg! She got extremely upset and stated again that she has a DAIRY allergy and that eggs are considered dairy………. some people just don’t understand simple concepts.

I hate how so many people lie about allergies these days. Allergies should be something to be taken seriously in the food industry. Yet guests are treating it like a “cheat” to make sure something they just don’t particularly like won’t show up in their food. Causing delays and just general issues for kitchen workers in general.

I’m not even sure if I’d blame a cook these days, for overlooking something out of carelessness (not intentionally) because of how often people will claim “allergies” when they have no issue at all.

Doesn’t mean us cooks should neglect our duties of course. Food safety is part of the job, even if the guest is bullshitting. But still…

  18. Excellent-Cup3767

Annoying vegetarian trying to make sure you follow instructions by scaring you w an allergy claim

  19. Apollo_Of_The_Pines

Small chance that they are talking about a specific type of protein and forgot to say what the protein is. I’m saying this as someone who is allergic to a wheat germ agglutinin which is a protein.

Spell out with the mozz on the pizza
    “Do you even lift bro”

  21. ILikeDragonTurtles

Maybe they meant they have that weird autoimmune disease where they’re allergic to red meat? Or they have extreme sensitivities to proteins so they can only eat the chicken and cheese? Either way, they could have been trying to communicate that they want the kitchen to make sure there’s no beef or pork in anything.

  22. 2bags12kuai

Ah yes, allergic to the building block of life.

  23. Winter_Steak_9987

I wonder if it’s a translation error and they actually have a gluten allergy because gluten is a type of protein.

  24. Grigori_the_Lemur

Maybe it is actually saying the specific protein? Ken? Because little else makes sense here taken as a whole.

  25. Main_Cauliflower5479

Apparently pizza dough doesn’t have protein either.

But is the server or whoever wrote that ticket a child?

  26. IFunnyNormie

It’s like when very pleasant patients insist they have an allergy to epinephrine, and after I explain that having a true allergy to epinephrine is impossible because they would not be able to be alive, they continue to insist on it.

Like the customer I get that award by an allergy to all meat.   … But not to bacon or any seafood.  Aight.
