I’ve been in a funk lately and even sourdough – my comfort thing hasn’t felt comforting. Hoping the joy comes back eventually 🤍

I bake sourdough every week or so. The process has gone from being thrilling, to merely satisfying. Now that I’ve become a competent home sourdough baker, I make bread when we run out, not to perfect my technique. It’s just something I make.

I feel you. I’m normally a very creative and hands on type person. I love working with my hands and innovating. But the last couple of months I just haven’t felt it. And with my micro bakery, it just feels like I’m fulfilling orders rather than doing something fulfilling.
Hang in there. You’re not alone in feeling this way. FWIW, it will come back to both of us. Lots of valid reasons to feel the way that we do

I murdered my starter and haven’t baked in months. Starting to feel the itch again though.

We aren’t doomed to only one hyper focus, maybe you could try a new canvas for your art! Or maybe its just a down spell, I get those. Feel better soon!
