Had brunch again at Emma's today. I went for a short stack of Cinnamon Bun pancakes with a side of soft scrambled eggs and their in house made bacon, and my wife had a customized breakfast sandwich which included (among other things) pimento cheese and an over easy egg), as well as maple baked beans with bacon.

Love this place!
This place is the best! Their home made bacon is amazing, thick cut and smokey. And their whipped butter and lemon blueberry spread are phenomenal on toast or pancakes. Also super family/kid-friendly.
Their breakfast sausage is awesome, caramelized onions and sage

Their biscuits and sausage gravy plate is my favorite. The sausage meat is done in-house and is very sage forward with a touch of chili flakes. Pair the meal with their hot sauce and you’re golden.
Also be prepared to get there early to add your name to the list. It’s one of the only places in the city I will actually wait for; we usually just explore the neighborhood on foot til we hear from them.

I am OBSESSED with this place. Anyone who visits me from home gets brought here for brunch. Everything is so good!

Honest question – are you supposed to tip here? Before people bring their pitchforks I’m a former server and I always tip well, but I was surprised to see a tip option on the machine since this is supposedly a “living wage employer”.

The have incredible frozen foods to go as well. Recommend the mac and cheese and the tourtiere.
Those eggs do not look picture worthy
I go just for the sausage gravy. I have eaten it with just a spoon several times. The gang there knows what up when I walk through the door.
Does the egg and bacon plate seem like it’s missing something? perhaps a form of carbs to accompany it? Or am i just used to seeing everyone else offer a breakfast plate filled to the rim with more than just two items on there? Don’t get me wrong, less is more and this looks yummy but I feel like if you’re going to offer that size of plate in contrast with the food quantity, either enlarge the portion size, add a carb or have a smaller plate.
Legitimately might be the best diner brunch I ever had. This place is a gem in Toronto
