Grabbed a bunch from Taco Bell for my food and I’m about to add some buldak to my burrito instead. Really disappointed in the Diablo sauce 🙁

It has a nice little kick to it and it’s very, very tasty. I wouldn’t say that it’s ‘not hot’. Folks who really enjoy spicy food tend to say ‘not hot’ as opposed to ‘not hot to me,’. I’ve had to cook food for my family that has a decent spice tolerance but nowhere near mine. My sister is my barometer. If she says “That’s good!” I know it’s spicy enough, if she says “it’s not hot,” It means that a person who can’t tolerate spicy food at all is going to feel it.

Yeah, it’s not that hot, but I think it’s very tasty anyway.

Depends on your tolerance … certainly not pushing boundaries for me, but if it wasn’t offered, I wouldn’t be eating Taco Bell at all. Probably hot for most people.

Good flavor- mix it with the fire sauce OP

It’s better than no sauce. Also, I use a ton, 2-3 packs for 1 taco

  6. Drasil’s axiom of spicy snacks –

Any standard widely commercially available prepackaged food products that
    – Are named anything to do with fire,
    – Show flames or something on fire on the packaging, or
    – Reference evil or insanity on the package or the name

Are guaranteed to be barely spicy at most.

Some people think the nacho cheese or mild sauce are spicy, so the heat level is probably about as good as it will get at Taco Bell.

  8. Ipuncholdpeople

It’s from one of the largest fast food chains. Anything for the masses isn’t going to be properly hot

I don’t like the bitter lime flavor on this one, wish they’d just make packs of super fire or something

Mild, medium, and hot sauces all have 0 spice to them. The fire sauce almost has a little spice. Diablo actually has a little spice. We take what we can get.

Next you gonna tell me the tacos aren’t authentic!?

This is why I miss lava sauce. The entire time it was on the menu I got a side cup every single visit. I’m sure others did the same. It was also not the absolute hottest but had a much better kick and flavor profile than their current offerings.

I haven’t had it in a while but I remember it being kinda mild and salty, definitely more flavor than heat.

Hottest one there! I love the flavor. Use like 3 on one taco mmmm but makes my mouth turn all red haha

  15. Humble_Guarantee

Actually I just open a bunch of them and just have it. No tacos needed

Its a good taco sauce. At least for taco bell. Drowns out the dried beef flavor

Anyone remember when the fire sauce packages said “I’m a palm reader. I sense a great deal of pleasure in your future”?

  18. WithASackOfAlmonds

Yeah and flavor is worse that the fire sauce

  19. _angesaurus

i love spicy but i HATE this stuff. i think it tastes like chemicals or somehting

It’s decent enough if that’s your only option for sauce. Not really hot, but it has a nice flavor profile. I have a dozen better sauces in the fridge. But it will do in a pinch.

  21. zsert93

Honestly glad they still make this. It’s very different.

  22. wOBAwRC

It’s fast food. There isn’t a single spicy thing at any major chain fast food restaurant.

  23. basement-thug

Yeah I actually prefer the taste of the Hot to this even though I crave the hottest thing. If it tastes like ass it don’t matter… but I also keep a bottle of good sauce at my desk at work and home… and on occasion I have one in my car because all TB sauce is weak sauce.

  24. DaleyLlama

Flavor isn’t very good. It isn’t very hot. They just need extra fire sauce lol. Also bring back the verde packets u cowards!

  25. I.mean….it’s taco bell. It’s intended for people who think taco bell is authentication Mexican food. I guarantee there are people in New Hampshire who dare each other to eat this without drinking milk, and complaining they’re getting gut cramps.
