I love cabbage rolls, but I’ll be honest, I don’t love the time it takes to make them. That’s why I prefer this cabbage roll soup! It delivers the same comforting flavors and ingredients in the classic recipe like ground beef, tender cabbage, white rice, and herby, tomato-y aromatics, but with way less effort (and I’m all for less effort when I want to get dinner done quickly). The end result is sort of a cross between my cabbage soup and stuffed pepper soup for a hearty and healthy soup that I know you’ll have on repeat.

  5. Kimchi soup (Korean) with cabbage is my go to for winter with the spice. You will not be cold after a bowl of it 😅 I also love a great pho Vietnamese soup. Lots of spices and lime and ah so good! Cabbage is such a great addition to soup. Going to try this one Next week as we do like cabbage rolls.

  7. Love this soup. I'll try your recipe but I think it also needs a pinch of thyme. My other favorite for winter which in some ways is similar is Italian sausage, kale and lentil soup.

    Im in the UK, is tomato sauce also known as tomato puree, or passata? Its thinner than puree.
